Acts of Neighboring include any intentional gesture, service, gift or event meant to foster connection and/or celebrate neighbors through kindness.
Acts of Neighboring may include, but are not limited to, writing kind note/cards, giving gifts or baked goods; doing an act of service such as pulling weeds, feeding pets, or bringing up visible packages; improving the neighborhood through cleanup or beautification efforts; hosting or attending an engagement event such as a block party, game night, yard sale or bbq.
To participate in our Be Neighborly Campaign, complete an Act of Neighboring between September 28th and October 4th, then register your Act of Neighboring through our site by 10pm on Tuesday October 8th to help us exceed last year's milestone of 764 Acts of Neighboring during Good Neighbor Week.
From the link at the top of the page, recognize those neighbors who go above and beyond all year! Nominations must be received by 10pm Tuesday October 8th. All nominees will be displayed on this chgoodneighbor site for one year. The top three nominees will be recognized at the November 13, 2024 City Council meeting and one will earn the title of 2024 Citrus Heights Good Neighbor of the Year.
To the neighbors sweeping the sidewalks, hosting the game night, or keeping the email info chain going, to all our Citrus Heights Neighbors giving generously of time, talents, or treasures, you are the silent heartbeat that make our community the place we want to call home. Thank you from your neighbors in R.E.A.C.H. and the Neighborhoods.
